I never bother with alarms as they seem to be more trouble than there worth.
I've just been setting a couple of things on the dash with ignition on and the same noise was constant, a characteristic of the model I'll bet. Not going to worry about it as it seems to be a common theme/thread. And we have 2yrs warranty.
just to be clear - the noise is there all the time. I could understand if it was only on for a few seconds at start up, until after the priming has been completed, but not all the time.
