Hi everyone - well it appears the problem is caused when switch ignition on but don’t have kill switch in run when start it.  Not a fault at all - just a ‘feature of the system’ when quick shift installed.

BaggerT - I wouldn’t worry about the ‘clunk’ on tridents quick shift - nothing compared to that on BMW GS quick shift!

    Happy riding everyone!

    Jan.

    Rchrd

    Whatever you do, don't steal.

I had a bunch of crap bikes before, but now I have a Trident and love it.

    Hi Everyone,

Have an exactly the same issue with my 660 - once the quickshifter has been installed. So far no information from the local Triumph dealership but any update here appreciated.

    Thanks!

    Hello Everyone,

Local Triumph dealership updated the software and it seems everything run smoothly right now.

I bought mine slightly used with a quick shifter installed. The transmission fault comes on pretty much every time and it was this way when I bought it. I believe always turn it on with the kill switch off.
I called the local dealer and the he said it's due to "improper use of the motorcycle" but refused to explain any further over the phone and asked me to bring it in to be looked at. That sounded a little evasive to me. Anyone heard this explanation before and what they are exactly referring to?
I will update here after the visit to the dealership but wondering if someone has experienced that?

I have the samo problem also since new bike...my dealer told me that after diagnostics run it will disappear...didn't happen. At one year service, again I asked to fix it...same story, no change. I'm angry already, dealer is still speaking about "premium brand", but this is really not premium behavior. Let me know what happened to you with this issue... :187:
