Fly Screen
on: May 12, 2021, 12.02 PM
Just wanted to add my review of the Fly screen after having it about a week.

Firstly, it definitely makes the bike look a lot better however.. I'm 5ft 11inches and what little wind deflection it creates, it focuses it on my neck / helmet which at motorway speed can be a little tiring compared to not having it!

Thought I would put it out there so people are aware!

I'm 5' 9" and down the few miles of motorway I have have ridden it feels okay for me, a bit like the Speed/Street Triple, just deflects a bit off my front, its all you can expect really. :028:

Thinking of getting the flyscreen , I'm the same height as you dimster , you say it seems to deflect more to the head and neck, but does move it off the chest area? Was it simply enough to fit ?

Hi Darkknight70,

It does deflect a bit off the chest but only a small amount. I would say it is more cosmetic then anything else (which I like a lot). The dealer fitted the part, but can't imagine it's a difficult job. Looks like 2 screws!

Thanks for that Dimster, yes would be getting one really more for looks and maybe a bit of protection for the instrument display. But yeah if it deflects just a little wind all the better. 👍

Just had the Fly Screen fitted and the bike looks much better IMO.
No issue with wind.

Does flyscreen prevent bugs hitting jackets?

No it doesn't, just back from a ride in the country side today and my jacket and helmet are like an insects graveyard, so bad my wife wouldn't let me in the house with them both on :027:
